"Radio Ron" Walerowicz, who was a fire paramedic on Ambulance Company #6, based with Engine Company No. 78, out of the Waveland Avenue fire station, who, along with his fellow fire fighers, entertained the likes of Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, Billy Connors and Don Zimmer.

Buzz Capra
Lee William "Buzz" Capra (born October 1, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois) was a Major League Baseball pitcher from 1971 to 1977 for the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves. His best season was 1974, when he was 16-8 with a league-leading 2.28 earned run average, and was named a National League All-Star. After retiring as a player, Capra was a pitching coach in the systems of the Mets and Philadelphia Phillies. (Source: Wikipedia).

Gene Hiser
Gene Hiser played for the Cubs from 1971-1975. Gene hit his only career home run on June 29, 1973 against the New York Mets. It was off of Buzz Capra in the bottom of the 9th and tied the game 3-3. The Cubs went on to win the game, 4-3, in 10 innings. Gene only committed 1 error in 115 games, 114 in the outfield and 1 at first base. (Source: Baseball-Reference.com)

Bill Campbell
William Richard Campbell (born August 9, 1948, Highland Park, Michigan) is a former Major Leage Baseball pitcher who played from 1973 to 1987. He played for the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox , Detroit Tigers, Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals and the Montreal Expos. Nicknamed "Soup", Campbell was one of the top relief pitchers in all of baseball with the Minnesota Twins in 1976 and the Boston Red Sox in 1977. Campbell was elected to the American League All-Star team in 1977. Campbell was awarded both AL Fireman of the Year by The Sporting News and Rolaids Relief Man of the Year Award (the first winner and first two-time winner of this award) following the 1976 and 1977 campaigns. Skip Pitlock
Skip Pitlock (born November 6, 1947, Hillside, Illinois) was a Major League Baseball pitcher for the San Francisco Giants (1970) and the Chicago White Sox (1974-75). Skip had one career complete game. It came on August 3, 1970 as a member of the Giants against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He gave up 4 hits, 2 unearned runs, walked 2 and struck out 9. He struck out in 18 of his 25 career at bats, but he did hit a home run in his next start on August 8, 1970 against the Houston Astros. (Source: Baseball-Reference.com).
